Prinos

Another impressive UFO sighting occurred recently in our country, and in fact, near the area where the "Atalanti incident" took place in August 1990, with many similarities between them. On Wednesday, August 7, 2002, a burning flying object was seen by many witnesses and disturbed an entire village. The object that landed and left deep traces has already become the subject of research in relevant circles around the world! Its appearance is a fact beyond any doubt and there was a mass of eyewitness testimonies to the local authorities, the National Radio and Television and print media, as well as an official call to the army by the residents of the village of Prinos, which is geographically located between Trikala and Karditsa. There is no official reaction or explanation so far, but we hope we don't hear the usual stories about weather balloons... The witness statements regarding the incident are divided into three different parts.
A. Visual contact of witnesses with an Unidentified Flying Object.
B. Witness visual contact with UFO beings on the property!
C. On-site visit and examination at the landing site.
We then collected a multitude of samples from across the area, which was thoroughly investigated.
and measurements with special high-tech instruments.
Testimonies are attached from the first and second parts. From the third, we present rich audiovisual material and findings.
1st TESTIMONY:
A.K. told us that on that night he was on duty. He was sitting at a small table, drinking cold water outside the fire station, when he suddenly saw a strange glow in the sky. He was able to make out a fiery sphere heading toward the foothills of the mountains where the village of Prinos lies the very center of the incident.
When we arrived at the village square, we sat down for a coffee at one of the three traditional cafés. Knowing that café owners usually know all the news of the village and everyone in it, one of us went inside and asked the owner for information about where we could find the eyewitnesses to the UFO sightings, and how seriously we could take their testimonies.
He assured us that these were not the “crazy” people of the village, but serious, respectable family men. He then directed us to where we could find them, and so our investigation began.
Of course, the main topic of conversation among the men gathered around the café tables was the “UFOs” as they called them which they feared might destroy their fields and crops. As we quietly drank our coffee and one of us tried to extract information from the café owner, the rest of us eavesdropped on the nearby conversations.
At one point, I overheard someone say that the day before, another circular formation like the one we later encountered had appeared on a different, slightly mountainous plot of land in the village. However, the owner had immediately plowed over it with his tractor because he didn’t want reporters or visitors coming around! The area was called Paloukia or Palouria.
When we finished our coffee, we began searching for the location of the field, which turned out to be just two kilometers outside the village. On the way, we met other researchers from Athens, Thessaloniki, Larissa, and Volos, and we all went together to the site.
Upon closer inspection, we noticed spherical “indentations” along the circular, snail-like pattern as the villagers called it. Since we arrived at the “scene of the crime” four days after the incident occurred, the impressions were somewhat eroded and had a depth of about half a hand’s width. Two young locals who accompanied us said that the entire village had visited the field on the first day and assured us that the impressions had originally been about 20 centimeters deep, but had become shallower because the owner watered the field daily.
This detail gives an idea of the weight of the object that created those marks.

2nd TESTIMONY:
Other researcher friends who also came to the scene asking questions told us that on their way to a neighboring village they met a gentleman on a motorbike. He told them that on the night of the incident he was with his wife at a friends' house and they were returning home at 2:45am, when a burning object in the sky caught their attention. They stopped and noticed a brilliant ball that split in two and one of its pieces fell on a plain while the other flew towards the mountain! They expected to see a flash or hear a crashing sound, but neither happened and so they continued their return home thinking it was a falling star. The next day, with the commotion that ensued, they realized that there were other witnesses to the most shocking incident that had occurred in the area in recent years! It is worth noting that, as you can see in the photographs, the field was sown and the only anomaly in the uniformity of the vegetation is found in the creation of the circle with the holes. Some researchers placed stones inside these holes to get a better view and to be better photographed. This of course angered the owner of the estate, Mr. K. Tsoukas, because, as he himself told us, they did not remove them from there when they left.
3rd TESTIMONY:
An important testimony came to us when we had left the estate and had returned to the village, taking a break from our research, which was taking place under the hot sun, which was baking us. This time we drank tsipouro in another traditional cafe with Mr. Tsoukas, owner of the field we mentioned above. There he spoke to us as well as some of his company. It was said, then, that a shepherd was another witness who confirmed the appearance of another luminous object descending into the fields that night in the area. Soon the conversation took an incredible turn when for the first time an amazing story unfolded before us that made us shiver. After two hours of discussion, it was said that there was an eyewitness who saw the landed UFO very close, at a distance of perhaps less than 25 meters. We asked to contact him and a local from the group took it upon himself to put us in touch. He himself urged us to go to the village square in front of the cafe to have more freedom of speech and we went under the plane tree, where icy water gushes. Soon a car appeared and the driver asked us to follow him while asking one of us to accompany him in his own vehicle. He took us again to Mr. Tsoukas' field. There he showed us a new element that, despite all our experience, had not received our due attention.
4th TESTIMONY:
The point as we called it was almost in front of the opening of the circle. As can be seen from the photo, it is dug. We thought that it had been dug by Mr. Tsoukas, all or at least part of it. The witness, however, gave us another explanation and another description. Like all the farmers in the area, he had set off around 3:30 – 4:00 in the morning to water his own property, which was near Mr. Tsoukas’ property. Passing by, he saw a strange, dazzling light and decided to see what was happening, as he knew that their properties were not illuminated with spotlights or lamps. So, approaching very close to the entrance of the property, he saw in front of him a hemispherical, intensely bright and dome-shaped, almost translucent object. Its light was diffused and very intense. However, he could see some figures outside it, “monkeys”, as he described them! As soon as they realized its presence, they gathered in the light and the object silently and swiftly fled towards the fields. He was the first to see them. He ran and spread the news to everyone else. The village was in an uproar and for the next 2-3 days everyone was afraid to go into the fields alone and formed groups, many together! In the dug hole that was probably created in front of the entrance of the craft that landed and around it, there is no vegetation. Could this be a case of collecting plant samples? Within the circle itself there was no vegetation even though it had been watered several times and grass sprouts and grows quite easily. The Geiger counters, compasses, magnetic field instruments, our special watches and the rest of our instruments showed absolutely no strange or unnatural indications, measurements or strange behavior. We did not find any strange traces, footprints, prints or other materials.
THE RESULTS OF OUR FIELD RESEARCH
Our research mission arrived at the disputed site 4 days late from the date of the incident, resulting in the findings being slightly altered. However, the alteration was such that it did not prevent the identification and recording of the data. At the specific UFO landing site there are: A circle of approximately 10 meters in diameter
On the circumference of the circle there are holes every 20 points and with a depth of about 10 points. Local witnesses told us that initially the holes were 20 points deep but with watering the surface of the circle and the holes was altered. The exact shape is not a circle but an open circle. Inside the circle there was damaged vegetation which however began to recover from the continuous watering. Outside the circle there is normal vegetation, that is, sown plants along the length of the property and covering its entire area.
Another notable find is a dug (not compacted soil) area measuring 20x30x25 centimeters (width, length, depth). This particular spot appears just in front of the opening of the snail circle. From the observations it appears that soil has been removed, as well as the vegetation with it, as the amount of soil removed from this particular hole was not found outside the dug area.
No other findings were found at the site, but soil samples, vegetation samples and measurements were taken with Geiger counters, which showed no trace of radioactivity. Magnetic fields and other indicators were also measured with high-tech instruments.
Life in the village continues, we continue our investigation, expecting new incidents to investigate, knowing that the Unknown Visitors will… strike again. We characterize this specific incident as real and as one of the most important events that occurred in Greece in the last decade, along with that of Atalanti, which occurred in September 1990 and presents several similarities with the recent one.
