The night was warm and calm and the three men were sitting chatting in the gazebo, while the fire truck was parked next to it. It was around 10pm when they noticed a disc-shaped, light-colored flying object coming from the sea, flying silently and low from the northeast. The initial detection of the UFO was at an apparent altitude of 45 degrees. As the object approached, the mobile phones, the vehicle's radio and the portable radio that they had turned on stopped working. I.M. had the impression that as the UFO approached, a faint sound like a small electric motor could be heard. Surprised, the three men saw the object coming and landing gently about 15 meters away from their lookout, on the runway of the old helipad.

The 45-year-old seasonal firefighter I.M., together with 2 other colleagues, was standing guard at Chamolia, a small peninsula opposite Perati (Vravrona). It was late August 2001 and probably a Sunday (possibly the 26th of the month). At the top of the small peninsula - hill from where there is a wonderful view of the surrounding area, there is an abandoned helipad (a grassy concrete runway with a diameter of 15 meters), and a small wooden kiosk - the permanent guard post of the forest firefighters during the sensitive summer season.

The dominant emotion was surprise and a reaction of the style of what are we doing now. As he said during the interview, he was also surprised by the small size of the UFO. After a while, a door appeared to open on the side of the object from top to bottom like a hatch or catapult. This door was something like a staircase like in some airplanes. I.M. did not distinguish steps or other features in the hatch. A dim light seemed to be pouring out from the interior of the UFO. But the most shocking phase of the incident was just beginning. From the interior of the UFO, three small bodies (somewhere 80-90 points tall) humanoid beings appeared to emerge one after the other. I.M. described them as miniature people with normal proportions and movement, like small children.

The object was discoid, had a diameter of 3 meters and was off-white or metallic in color in the semi-darkness. Its shape was like two plates resting on each other's lips. It seemed to land on its belly and not on any kind of legs or other accessories. The UFO also had no surface features, lights, antennas, bulges, etc. When it landed, it was about 1-1.10 meters high (something that was later verified by on-site research and comparisons).

The beings wore tight and apparently metal suits that resembled those of a scuba diver: they ended in a hood that tightly covered the head. They did not have a hood or anything else on their faces, but the distance and lighting conditions were such that I.M. was unable to distinguish any facial features. The beings were not holding anything in their hands nor did they have any other distinguishing feature apart from the tight suits. Also, the distance and lighting conditions were such that no details were discernible on the ends of the arms or legs. The three beings advanced in a phalanx for approximately 5-7 meters until they reached a point where the helipad plateau ends in a path that descends the slope of the Chamolia hill, a slope full of low phrygana and bushes that ends in the sea.
